RESEARCH LABORATORY OF FILTERING MATERIALS

Main directions of research works of the laboratory:

development of scientific bases of the optimization of powder filtering materials' (FM) structure and properties;
development of scientific bases of the creation of effective powder FM with a variable pores distribution;
development of the equipment and devices with the use of filtering materials on the base of metallic powder and other materials;
development of theoretical and technological bases of the control of structural and frame work properties of permeable composites on the base of metal nets to filtrate liquid and gas media and polymer melts;
development of effective high porous fibrous materials;
development, manufacturing, assembly and maintenance of drain-distribution systems of a technological preparation of HEC water.

Main results being obtained in the laboratory:

- the model of powder FM which gives the possibility to connect the structure parameters (distance between the particles centers, angles of their staking, size of pores, coefficient of permeability, fineness of filtration, dirt capacity, service life) is developed;
technologies of FM manufacturing in the form of plates ( from bronze powders) with the use of non-treated sheets of a corrosion resistant steel as rigging; of manufacturing of long size tubular filtering elements (from bronze powders, length up to 150mm) , manufac-turing of filtering elements from chemical titanium powder and electrolytic nickel powder using automatic presses; manufacturing of filtering elements from bronze powder by pressing; manufacturing of double layers filtering elements from nickel, titanium, corrosion resistant steel and bronze powders are developed;
constructions of filtering chucks on the base of lentil form elements such as: slot filter, long size and great size filtering elements, filter for air, steam, condensate, potable and technological water cleaning nitrogen sterilization are developed.

The developed products from filtering materials found a wide application on many enterprises of our Republic, foreign countries for air and aggressive gases, technical oils, water cleaning for filtration and homogenization of polymers melts, sound suppression, synthetic fibers cooling, water ozonization, etc
