The selective laser sintering plant (SLS plant) is designed for the manufacture in the step-by-step synthesis mode of 3D products from metallic and polymer powders incl. the manufacture of the individual medical implants of complex shape from the spherical titanium powder.

Usage of the SLS plant enables also engraving of dies and memorable marks, marking, microwelding, perforating and profiled cutting of sheet materials

The SLS process lies in subsequent sintering of powder particles by a specific trajectory with the formation of an individual layer of a given configuration and the following sintering of these layers on one another by impulse periodic laser emission when a 3D product if formed.

The SLS process runs on the vertically moveable building platform in the working chamber with the protective atmosphere of argon.

The optical system of the SLS plant enables scanning the laser beam in a horizontal plane by the predetermined trajectory, observing the sintering zone by means of video camera and the temp control in the zone of laser action by the sintering control system.

Preparation of the electronic model of the product is realized in the systems CAD/CAM/PDM that support the mode of 3D-solid modeling. The program management of the SLS plant’s operation, setting-up technological modes and controlling them in the real time mode is realized by means of the controlling computer.
