Field of application: Powder electric contact materials on a tungsten base are used as contacts of electrical equipment interrupters of auto- motor technique and other commutation devices to close and open networks.
Technical and economical characteristics of the technology:
Relative density – 95 % minimum
Specific electrical resistance – 0,05…0,1 Ohm•ñm•10-4;
Hardness – 2 800…3 400 MPa;
Exploitation durability – 50 000 commutation cycles minimum.
Kind and characteristics of the production The products are of a continuous cylinder shape with a ratio of a height to a diameter about 1:5, a diameter within 4 - 6 mm.
An output mastery of developed products In accordance with a developed technology powder electrocontact materials are produced at the pilot plant of Powder Metallurgy Institute.
