Pistons from composite alloys on aluminum base

Composition of the material: Production process is combined with forming a composite in separate blanks zones during liquid phase infiltration with die aluminum alloy of a porous framework from fibres or grains of oxides, nitrides, carbon, metal.

Main characteristics of the material:

  • Hardness – 90…180 HB;
  • Wear resistance – 3…8 times higher than of the die material;
  • Content of ceramic filler – from 3 to 30 % in bulk.

Kind and characteristics of products: Material serves to produce parts of Diesel engines, pistons and other parts, operating in conditions of wear-out and at elevated temperatures.

An output mastery of developed products: Technology of production of pistons and Diesel engines is developed and tested.

Scientific and technical level, novelty: The level of the best domestic and foreign analogues. The patent is in force in CIS countries.
