INFILTRATED POWDER MATERIAL WITH INCREASED HEAT CONDUCTIVITY AND WEAR RESISTANCE

Infiltrated powder material with increased heat conductivity and wear resistance

Field of application: Manufacturing of tools for production of different types of glass package by press and press-and-blow methods.

Composition of the material: Material is produced by the infiltration of a powder frame from alloyed steel by copper alloy.

Physical and mechanical properties of the material:
  • Ultimate strength – 650 … 850 MPa;
  • Hardness – 180 … 320 ÍÂ;
  • Heat conductivity – 45 … 55 Wt/m K;
  • Porosity – 3 … 5 %;
  • Size of pores – 50 ?m maximum;
  • Impact strength – 45 … 60 êJ/m2;
  • Coefficient of thermal expansion – 12,2 … 12,8;
  • Maximal operating temperature – up to 800 °Ñ.

Characteristics of productsGlass-forming tools from a developed material have the durability 5 - 7 times higher than tools from alloyed steel.

An output mastery of developed products: Necessary quantity of products can be made at the Molodechno Powder Metallurgy Plant and Powder Metallurgy Institute.

Scientific and technical level, novelty: The level of the best domestic and foreign analogues. The patents of the Russian Federation ¹ 1839480, ¹ 1637141, ¹ 93052236; the Patent of Belarus ¹ 3370.
