POWDER COMPOSITE MATERIAL FOR PRODUCTION OF CAR STARTER INSERTS

Powder composite material for production of car starter inserts

Composition of the material: Powder antifriction material on the base of iron and copper with additives of hard lubricant from molybdenum disulfide and fusible metals PA-GZGr2D20S10 and PÀ-BrOGZMs.

Main characteristics of the material:

  • Porosity - 18 - 25 %;
  • Oil absorption – 1,8 % minimum;
  • Destruction effort at radial pressure – 950 … 1 000 MPa minimum;
  • Friction coefficient (at Ð = 2,8 MPa, ? = 4 m/s) – 0,015 … 0,03;
  • Gripping pressure – 4.2…4,5 MPa;
  • Wear intensity (at Ð = 2,8 MPa, ? = 4 m/s) – 34,7•10-12 ?m/km

Type and characteristics of products: Inserts of starters of cars and trucks being made from this material are characterized by the complex of mechanical and tribotechnical properties and by better conditions of self-lubrication in comparison with bronze.

An output mastery of developed products: An output of the production is mastered at the Pilot Plant of the Powder Metallurgy Institute. Yield is 2,0 million pieces per year.

Scientific and technical level, novelty: The level of the best domestic and foreign analogues. The patent of Belarus ¹ 1334.
